Sacred Dance Workshop

FREE Sacred Dance Workshop with Lori Provost

​

Taught by Ms. Lori, who has an extensive background and interest in Christian liturgical dance, this workshop series will focus on integrating faith into all aspects of a dancer's work to include classroom learning, performance and choreography. The workshop will begin with a time of prayer, Bible study, and reflection; and move to a warmup and improvisation exercises. Topics of discussion that will be explored include a perspective on dance and body image from a Christian faith-based perspective, sacred/liturgical dance concepts, as well as a perspective on God's will for the individual as it relates to dance. This workshop is open to ages 8-Adult and no previous dance experience is required.
